
The Institute of Medical Intelligence and XR (IMIXR) Workshop 2025 was successfully held on 15 April 2025 at LT2, G/F, Yasumoto International Academic Park at CUHK, bringing together leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in AI, XR, and their transformative applications in medical field.


The workshop served as a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, featuring keynote speeches, poster sharing, and interactive demos showing that highlighted the transformative potential of intelligent technologies in medicine. This year’s Students Poster Sessions featured PhD students presenting their latest research through posters and presentations. Their work covered key areas such as Intelligent Personalized Diagnosis, AI-XR Interaction & Virtual Surgery, and Intraoperative AI-AR Assisted Surgery, showcasing advancements in precision medicine and surgical technology.

Interactive Demo Session
At the IMIXR Workshop 2025, students showcased cutting-edge interactive demos in three breakthrough areas: Intelligent Personalized Diagnosis, AI-XR Surgical, and Intraoperative AI-AR Guidance. These hands-on prototypes demonstrated how AI and extended reality technologies are transforming precision medicine and surgical practice, offering attendees a tangible glimpse into healthcare's smart future.
